Session Guide
First off, thank you for choosing me to be your photographer, to capture your love, and special moments. It means the world to me that you entrust me with this, and I cannot wait to get to know you and make this session one you'll never forget.
I want to capture you right now, in the moment, exactly as you are, with all of the unique bits and pieces. Romantic, goofy, flirty, quiet, whatever you are, being at home makes such a difference when it comes to your level of comfort, which then shines through in your images.
Wherever you are in your relationship, be it newly together, engaged, married, 5 kids, grand kids we want to capture that, the right now moments that won't be the same 5 years down the road. During this session we will spend 1 or so hour capturing just the two of you. Your connection is everything, so I want you to both start focusing on each other, noticing things, appreciating each other. Just fill each other with love. This will make a huge difference.
How do you prepare?
location:
What I look for first is light, specifically, window light. If you're home is lacking natural light, no worries, just give me a heads up and I can bring in some lighting. Next, find a couple spots in your home that bring you joy (your bed, the couch, living room floor, a comfy chair, kitchen, patio, stairs, the options are endless).
an activity:
Something you do together. Make breakfast, drink coffee, jump on the bed, snuggle and read a book, dance party, write love notes + read them to each other, play a board game, bake cookies, flour flight, make out on the bed, steamy shower, it can be totally mundane, just something that brings you together.
what to wear:
Dress casual. We want to capture what your casual day to day is like. Jeans, shorts, pajamas, tanks, t's, whatever. Guys can be shirtless if you want. I ask that you don't wear neon bright colors, and that your choices are well fitted as loose clothing doesn't transfer well in photo ( unless we’re talking big baggy sweater/partners shirt that makes you feel sexy). And barefoot. Isn't this simple??
Local places to shop (Lethbridge)… Splurge and Co, Real Deals home decor, Gentlemen III, Winners is always a good option, Old Navy. In Taber, The Loft on 50th has really cute options ( the are online as well).

We need some music, so I can bring a playlist, but you are more than welcome to supply music that you both love
Your home tidy up and de-clutter- especially in the areas we might be - that will help the focus of the photos stay on you ( and not the stuff in your house) Your house doesn't need to be perfect, but if you don't want it in your photos, find a hiding spot behind a closed door.

Your Photo's
Will be ready in about 2.5 weeks of session date. You will receive the agreed upon number of images with an option to purchase additional.
Prints and Canvas
Are available, and encouraged. I am available for print styling in your home, as well for in home consults for print and canvas ordering to keep it as streamlined as possible.
