Session Guide

It means the world to me that you trust me with this, cannot wait to get to know you and make this session one you'll never forget. 

I want to capture you right now, in the moment, exactly as you are, with all of the unique bits and pieces. Romantic, goofy, flirty, quiet, whatever you are, we will have a blast

Wherever you are in your relationship, be it newly together, engaged, married, 5 kids, grand kids we want to capture that, the right now moments that won't be the same 5 years down the road. During this session we will spend 1-1.5 hours capturing just the two of you. Your connection is everything, so I want you to both start focusing on each other, noticing things, appreciating each other. Just fill each other with love. This will make a huge difference.

How do you prepare?

location:

This part is fun, we have so many amazing spots in the Taber/Lethbridge area, and with the option to travel (.50/km) the options are truly endless. Fields, coulees, hoodoos, lakes, trees, and mountains. Let me know what your heart is looking for, if you have no idea, it's fine, I have a TON of favorites. 

the day before:

Get a ton of sleep + be extra appreciative of each other. Try your outfits on and make sure you feel good about them.

hours before:

eat a healthy meal, nothing heavy, but something filling. Hungry bellies = grumpy people

during the session:

We are going to take a second to shake off the nerves and then shift that focus over to having some fun with with your person. We will start with some walking, be playful, run, dance around, and hold hands. There will be poses but for the most part, I will capture each moment as it unfolds. Know that everyone starts out feeling awkward, and everyone ends up LOVING their photos. I know how to bring out the good, trust me and trust that we WILL make some absolute magic together.

The best way to get stunning images is to not over-think. To allow yourself in the moment to be with your partner. These images are capturing this moment in your life and I think that we get the most magical - special - heirloom type images from the litte-in between moments that naturally unfold when we take the time and allow them to.

I tend to move around quickly - capturing everything from close up details to wide angle shots where you guys are just small. Patience, trust, and the willingness to have a good time is ALL that I need from you.

what to wear:

Don't wear the same color, instead wear colors that complement each other. Pinterest is amazing for styling idea’s. Layers and items with some movement ex. Jacket, kimono, dress that flows, a bow in the hair, corset, adding a sun hat to the mix for some, a blanket that you really like, jewelry, any little touches. Bring a second outfit if you would like. It can be fun to have something fancy/formal and something more casual. Think about the vibe you would like for your gallery. Are you more bold (Red, jewel tones, fun print, something bright and colorful) or wanting something that feels soft (Muted, earth tones, creams, soft patterns) in your images? From there break it down.

Your Photo's
Will be ready within about 4-5 weeks of session date. You’ll receive a large gallery of the best images. Edited to perfection. Send to your email for digital download. You are able to then order prints/albums/wall art if you would like
