Melissa and Jaycee have this beautiful connection, her first baby, her true love. And oh my goodness does it ever bring me joy to capture these moments of connection for them. As a mom of a now 10 year old, I truly know the importance of having these images to look back on. They are truly only little for such a short time.
I had a little “helper” for this session. My 4 (almost 5) year old daughter. She HAD to sneak in a couple photos, wanted to take a few of her own, and drove me a little bit , you know.. But in the middle of everything, like a typical newborn, Jaycee had a giant newborn poo. This is basically my Bella’s dream come true, she thought it was hilarious. Disgusting but it’s the little things right?

Anyways, Starting in March I will be taking on Simply motherhood sessions.
in my home in Taber. These sessions will be a once a month thing and very limited.
There will be styling assistance, as well as hair + makeup if you would like.
Sessions will be 30-45 minutes in length
You will receive 25 digital edited images.
The introductory price will be $200, it will be raised to $225 soon so don’t wait to inquire.

I believe everyone should push themselves beyond their comfort zone, the farther the better. This is where growth comes, this is where you find those new little pieces of yourself that weren’t visible before. Growing up I would not consider myself to be creative, I could not close my eyes and picture that final product, and my uneducated or practiced efforts were not so pretty. Instead of trying I LIED to myself. I said “You are not creative.” That one lie stayed put for YEARS, even into my first year of business. I know now how silly that was of me. I am creative, my art is beautiful, I have worked REALLY freaking hard to get to where I am, this is not a little thing, this is a really really big beautiful thing. And it only happened because I told myself the truth. “I am creative” and then believed it.

MELI + KYLE // IN-HOME COUPLES SESSION
I met Meli + Kyle in their West Lethbridge home and immediately fell in love with them, and their incredible rose gold beautifully styled home as you will see below. This beautiful in-home newborn session took place in Coaldale, Alberta in the most beautiful home. Something about newborn sessions, and the little details just grabs my heart and holds on tight. Sweet Olivia is so loved, and it shows in each image. I’ll stop talking now so you can look at all this goodness.

Emily + Kurtis’ in-home session, Lethbridge Alberta
Love is the most beautiful freaking thing in this world.
One of my favorite parts about working with couples is getting to know their story. How they met, little quirks, just anything I can learn about them. It not only translates my images from a simple image into artwork that holds memories. But it allows us to connect and have actual conversations during each session. In the end giving them something that they will look back on and treasure.
The love between Emily and Kurtis is real, and these images you are about to see will give you a little peak at it. Their home is absolutely adorable, and oh my gosh their cat.. (You can’t even tell how much Kurtis didn’t want to be doing this.)
I suck with words so lets just get on with it.
